Putnam school district seeks $300 million bond issue

The Putnam County School District said new elementary schools constructed under its school revitalization program would be similar to Pierson Elementary in Volusia County. Superintendent Rick Surrency said some Putnam County parents have enrolled their students at Pierson because of the new facility.
