Lake Brooklyn drops by nearly a foot

A county sign at the King Street boat ramp reads: “Lake Brooklyn Boat Ramp is currently open for kayak and canoes ONLY. The ramp remains closed for motorized boats due to low water. We are working with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to get the ramp open as soon as the water levels have reached the specified level required by FWC.
