Melrose fire displaces family

According to Clay County Fire Rescue, the fire broke out at 7950 Brush Hill Lane, Melrose, around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 23, leaving the residents displaced. No pets or people were injured. According to Matthew Moriarty, Putnam County Fire Rescue Professionals said that Clay County Fire Rescue requested mutual aid. Putnam Cunty sent two engines, one tanker, and West District Captain Johnson to assist. It was unknown what the cause of the fire was at this time.
